And the Photo Caption Contest Winner Is…

Yesterday we put out a Photo Caption Contest of the photo above with Oakley Police Chief Bani Kollo and Black Bear Diner Jimmy D’Amico during the community softball game. We asked our Facebook Friends to create a caption for the photo.  We received over 150 submissions in less than 3-hours as voting was open between 9:00 pm and Midnight.

The winner of our first Caption Contest is Andrea Case with the submission “There is no way that guys mustache is better than ours”. Believe it or not, Andrea set the bar high as she was the first submission of the evening.  As the winner, Andrea Case will get her choice of a Bear Claw or Cobbler from Black Bear Diner on behalf of East County Today.

The runner up was Janice LeGay with the submission “No….no….no…you got the wrong guy…you want my brother Luigi….he went that way! Chief: That way?”

  I’m sorry Mr. D’Amico, this is little league, you can’t bring your 21 year old son in to play, I don’t care if he was the on Freedom Varsity championship team!
