$900 Raised for Autism Awareness at Antioch Event

by ECT

About forty light blue colored balloons could be seen in the sky Saturday afternoon in support of autism awareness.

The Commons at Dallas Ranch in Antioch held the fundraiser and presentation with nearly $900 in proceeds going to Autism Speaks. The event featured a bake sale, a balloon launch at 12:00 pm. and an informative presentation about autism by Sutter Delta Pediatric Medical Director Dr. Irmeen Ashraf.

In addition to speaking about autism, she provided wonderful information about how Sutter Delta provides services to families with autistic children.

Here are some pictures from Saturday’s event which Assemblyman Jim Frazier had staff present along with his wife Janet Frazier, Antioch City Councilwoman Monica Wilson, local Kiwanis members, girl scouts, Special Haven, and Sutter Delta Medical Center.
