6,568 PG&E Customers Without Power in East Contra Costa County

According to PG&E, a power outage impacting more than 6,568 customers in East Contra Costa County began at 1:41 pm Wednesday.

The outage is impacting parts of Brentwood, Oakley, Knightsen, and Bethel Island while the origin of the problem appears to be in the area of Garin Parkway and Silverwood Drive in the City of Brentwood.

PG&E is currently assessing the cause and estimate restoration could come by 5:00 pm. 

4:45 pm Update

According to Tomar Sarkissian, spokesperson for PG&E, all but 179 customers were restored as of 2:50 p.m. The outage was caused by equipment failure, and our crews are working to make repairs, safely and as quickly as possible.

Estimated restoration for the 179 customers is by 2:00 am Thursday.
