On Sunday, the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office responded to the 5500 block of Sandmound Blvd in unincorporated Oakley for a report of shots fired.
According to Jimmy Lee, spokesperson for the Sheriffs Office, deputies arrived on scene where they located an injured man, who later turned out to be the suspect. They placed Richard Fisher, 50 of Walnut Creek, under arrest.
They did not immediately locate Fisher, who reportedly fired a gun in a trailer and then took off through yards.
Fisher was taken to a local hospital for treatment and then booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats. He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
The victim, a 40-year-old man of Oakley, was not injured.
